Design is a way
of paying attention.

“I collect the things that make everyday life feel more considered—then photograph, draw, and remake what I notice.”

—Risto Gayer

Collected object / 001

Useful things can still feel unexpected.

This archive is a home for products I return to: objects with a clear idea, honest materials, and enough personality to become part of a room.

The first placeholder study imagines a lamp made from a single folded plane—simple enough to understand, warm enough to keep nearby.

An amber chair and chrome lamp shown in a coastal landscape
Context changes how an object is read.
A folded aluminum lamp glowing on a studio workbench
Fold light / aluminum, paper, vermilion hinge.
A photographer documenting a timber shelter beside a wet road
Field note / Northern Finland

Photography is how I slow a place down long enough to see its decisions.

Placeholder / 00:45

A future short film about noticing the structures we usually pass.

An abstract paper study in ultramarine, graphite, and vermilion
Untitled material study / ink, paper, graphite.

Making room for the unresolved.

Not everything here needs to become a product. This is also a place for color, material, composition, and ideas that are still finding their form.

Design archive / always in progress

Collected slowly.
Shared as it changes.
